A massive thank you to all who turned up on sunday the 15th. It was amazing to see so many people turn up for the first game. We know there were a few problems on the day and we are already working to make sure they don't come back.
We hope to see you back on the 1st of March

A team from environmental services will be down on site this week, conducting a survey of the land. This survey is a necessary part of the planning approval process and once completed should mean we're allowed to operate.
Un till the start of this week, it has been unclear when this was going to happen which is why there has been little change to our status. We hope to bring good news early next week once the report has been carried out

WE GOT IT! Planning have given us permission to use the site for Airsoft. As part of the permission a few requirements have been put in place, we will now be working with them to make sure these are met before gaming can commence.
Once again i would like to thank everyone for their support and patience.

First i'd like to say thank you to all the people that have been offering their support.
It doesn't take a genius to see there is a big gap between the dates, unfortunately this is the speed things are going.
What has been happening? After the meeting as many of you know, i was asked to get a survey done of the land to determine what if anything of importance is there. A massive amount of time was spent trying to find someone to do this. After discussing the issue with the Societe Jersey they decided to add there input to the issue. A formal letter has been sent by them giving their support towards our sport and the use of the land for it. At the moment i have no further information but as ever as soon as something important is known i shall pass it on.

A little update for you all.
Today after what seems like a life time of official comments and long winded replies from me i decided to go and visit planning to find out what's go on.
The answer, quite a lot! One more final meeting between my self, planning and environmental services has to happen. This will be the decider on their part whether or not permission to use the land is given. If all is good the application will go before the planning ministers hopefully around the 2nd of Aug, for those heading to Ground Zero on the 22nd i hope to get a game in before going.
I have also noticed fresh bbs appearing on site, yes i do check! If this continues to happen and more importantly if i catch anyone down there the authorities shall be notified.
Regards
Chris

Yet again i feel like the barer of bad news.
As mentioned the date of the 1st of june was a proposed one if things all went to plan, as you have no doubt herd or seen planning permission is now required for the site. This is something we were not expecting but needless to say are now getting on with sorting out.
I have spoken in depth with planning and the correct permission route has been selected. Unfortunately for us this means 6-8 weeks of waiting, maybe sooner. It would seem no matter how big or small things are on Jersey, planning permission IS required (has your tree house got permission yet?), without doing this we would be breaking the law! I'm sure you can all agree for the sake of waiting a little longer we secure the future of Airsoft in Jersey with out fear of it being taken away from us again.
I would ask for the following from all those who love their sport:
Please do not go down on to the site whilst planning are doing their thing, a great deal of effort is being put in to getting the site back up and running. By going down there you may be putting this in jeopardy as well as trespassing!
No illegal games, you are of course in-titled to do what you want on your own land, but please do not play games in any of the public woods or trust areas around the island. Your one game could impact heavily against everyone else!
Finally, keep spreading the word!
Regards
Chris
